Virtual Home Page Updates on elks.org
In addition to the pages for local lodges here on CTelks.org, there are website pages at elks.org. Your Secretary can assign a Cyber Assistant who can access and edit this page.
Now, your local Lodge Virtual Home Page has been updated. We’ve activated a variety of improvements, including:
- Easy-to-remember, easy-to-type URLs
Starting immediately, your VHP can be accessed by appending your lodge number to www.elks.org. The address for San Francisco, CA Lodge No. 3, for instance, looks like this:
Boston, MA Lodge No. 10 looks like this:
Des Plaines, IL Lodge No. 1526 can be found here:
- New Header Images
You can now customize your site with one of 48 brand new header images.
- CLMS Officer Integration
Officer and Committee Chair information is now drawn directly from CLMS, which eliminates the need to maintain the same data in two different places. To protect the privacy of your members, you retain full control over what information gets displayed, and what information is hidden.
Important Note: By default, all Officer and Chair information is private. Once you’ve secured permission to post information for your Officers and Chairs, you can use the VHP Admin screens to display their names and contact info.
- More Members Only Content
Your Lodge VHP now includes direct links to training modules and Grand Lodge manuals.
- More Responsive and Mobile-Friendly
Your Virtual Home Page has been optimized to look great on phones as well as tablets and PCs.
- Social Media Support
You can now post links to your social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube!
- Lots More!
Download the revised Virtual Home Page Owners Manual for more information.
