As some of you may or may not know, Coastal Vice-President Howie Lawler, PDD oof Branford Lodge #1939 recently suffered a major health crisis and is currently recovering in a rehabilitation facility.
This crisis occurred while he was still recovering from a planned hip replacement surgery and his journey back to health will be a long one. As you can imagine, the financial impact of an unexpected health emergency like this can be quite devastating so his friends and supporters, have come together to help.
Howie has made a difference in the lives of so many, there’s not enough room on this page to encompass all the contributions that he has made to Branford Lodge, the town of Branford, and the Elks organization. He has held many titles, both past and present, but the most important ones are that of a loving husband and father. It’s for these reasons we hope you will help by supporting the Lawler family during this challenging time.
“The Friends of Howie” will be hosting a fundraising event for the Lawler family on Sunday, October 1st from 12pm-7pm. It will be picnic style in the pavilion at the Branford Lodge with live entertainment, a cornhole tournament, and many other activities. Tickets are $25 and include food, beer and wine and may be purchased through Eventbrite under “The Friends of Howie” Lawler family benefit or through the link below.
